Michaelian Children Home is a charitable project of the Sisters of Saint Michael the Archangel in Ado Ekiti, Ekiti State, Nigeria. The home officially was opened on March 13. 2017 and is registered with the state government and the women’s affairs. It caters for orphans. abandoned, and less privileged children in the community and currently houses twenty children between the ages of three and ten – 12 girls and 8 boys. The children attend Michaelian Catholic Nursery/Primary School, owned, and managed by the Sisters of Saint Michael the Archangel. The home has three staff members caring for the children and the environment.
The home is sustained mainly by the combined income from the congregation and donations from well-meaning individuals and some NGOs. However, the house faces several challenges for the daily upkeep and maintenance of the children.
